The Fund aims to support the local community in and around the Earls Court site, in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea and the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham. It will focus on offering grants to charities and community organisations, to deliver projects and to ensure local groups can continue to provide longer term support for the community.

The total value of the Earls Court Community Fund is £180,000 per year. Organisations can apply for a grant of up to £15,000 for projects taking place for up to 12-months to deliver community activities supporting local residents to engage with their neighbours and build community connections, improve their health and wellbeing or to support young people’s personal development, education and training.

Since acquiring the Earls Court site in 2019, ECDC has committed to making a positive contribution to the local community. The fund will build upon the help ECDC has provided to the community to date which includes supporting Dads House, Solidarity Sports and Earls Court Film Festival.

To be eligible to apply to the Community Fund organisations must meet the following points:

  • Be a not-for-profit organisation that is formally constituted (have a signed governing document in the organisation’s name).
  • Have good financial management procedures, including a record of income and expenditure.
  • Have a bank account set up in the organisation’s name, with at least two unrelated cheque signatories.
  • Be connected with and meeting the needs of the local community in and around the Earls Court site – specifically the Earls Court Opportunity Area
  • Delivering activities that either take place within the Earls Court Opportunity Area, or activities that directly benefit people who live, work or study in the area.
