Meanwhile Uses

While plans for the wider Masterplan are being developed, we are exploring options for how the site can be used in the interim before development begins.

Parts of the site are already being used as detailed below.

Covid-19 Task Force

We are delighted that part of the site is currently being utilised by the Mayor’s Office for Police And Crime (MOPAC) for officers participating in the Covid-19 Task Force to park their cars.

West Brompton Crossing

Our ‘pop-up high street’ West Brompton Crossing has also transformed the ground floor of vacant buildings on Lillie Road, providing retailers, bars and restaurants new to the area, including the popular Prince.

It is offering an exciting taste of what is to come with the future redevelopment of Earls Court, thanks to a carefully curated mix of independent brands, thoughtfully designed spaces and interesting events. The pop-up high street features mews-inspired design, with colourful and varied shop front facades, and contemporary interior design intended for flexible use.

Dads House foodbank at West Brompton Crossing

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic and these uncertain times, we were delighted to offer local charity Dads House a unit at West Brompton Crossing, to use as a foodbank and distribution centre. The foodbank is open to anyone that needs a helping hand and the charity will also deliver to residents in Kensington and Chelsea and Hammersmith and Fulham.

Transport for London – Construction Hub

TfL are working in partnership with industry and government through the Construction Skills Fund, offering fully-funded pre-employment programmes to provide key skills and training, as well as a taste of working in the construction industry.

The Construction Hub is closed and will re-open when the current restrictions are lifted.
