Opportunities at the Earls Court site - calling local performers, musicians, foodies and creatives

This spring we are continuing to open parts of our site back up to local people as we seek to ‘bring the wonder back’ to the site. You can read more about the various activations in our latest newsletter here.

We wanted to let you know about the different ways you can get involved and be a part of these initiatives. If you, or anyone you know, would be interested in any of these opportunities we would love to hear from you.

Underbelly Festival Earls Court: 13 May – 16 July

Last summer, over 114,000 people were entertained by over 200 shows, performances, dance acts, comedy and much more. From 13th May, Underbelly is coming back to the site with an initial 10 week run. The famous ‘Udderbelly’ upside-down inflatable purple cow will return, along with a brand-new pop-up venue.

The Studio: Seating 75 people, the space will be suitable to host a range of talks, performances, community events and other activities. The venue is free for community groups to takeover at numerous slots in the programme throughout the festival, and also suitable for ticketed comedy, spoken word, talks or other activities.

Outdoor Stage: We are calling for local musicians that would be interested in keeping the Underbelly festival goers entertained on the outdoor stage to get in touch. This small stage will be in place for the full 10 week run so do get in touch if you would be interested in performing.

Food traders: Alongside the performers and musicians, Underbelly Festival will feature al fresco bars and a range of street food. We want to curate a mix of food offerings for our visitors. If you’re interested in food trading opportunities please see here.

Empress Studios: Coming soon

Work is well underway to refurbish a series of long-derelict townhouses on Empress Place in West Brompton to create 30 new affordable studios for creatives and innovators, who live and/or work in Hammersmith & Fulham or Kensington & Chelsea. Rent starts from £250pcm and you can see of the spaces available here. We can set up viewings for those interested in seeing more.

Community Hub, West Kensington

On 31st May we will be opening our new Community Hub on Aisgill Avenue in West Kensington; it can host a range of activities including classes, Scouts, gardening, workshops and much more. If you’re interested in using this flexible space or is large walled garden, we would love to hear from you.
