SIGN UPBeach Rugby at Earls Court
Building on the sporting legacy of the Earls Court site, this autumn Earls Court are celebrating the Rugby World Cup with a beach rugby pitch. The beach has been installed on Empress Space which is being programmed on the weekends with free beach tag rugby tournaments, children’s rugby coaching sessions and Rugby World Cup fan zone screenings. During the week it is a free city beach for the community to enjoy.
Beach Rugby is 5 a-side, ten-minute tag rugby game. The most inclusive of any team sport, beach-tag-rugby suits all ages and abilities – the sand is a perfect leveller allowing all players to fully enjoy the experience. The beach rugby tournament will be running every weekend from Saturday 16 September to Saturday 28 October 11am - 4pm. To book your team in pls email play@playaxuk.com.
From this weekend, Saturday 16 September, the beach on Empress Space will also be screening key Rugby World Cup matches for free. Fans will be able to gather with friends and enjoy the games on the big screen, alongside a lively atmosphere with drinks from the Jack and Boule bar and street food.
