Since acquiring the site in December 2019, The ECDC has been busy getting to know the local community and has supported a number of organisations and charities based in the area.
We’ve been delivering a whole range of community uses on site including opening the Community Hub in June 2022, refurbishing homes on Empress Place and Seven Stars, launching an annual Community Fund worth £180,000 and opening a new public art space opposite Earl’s Court Tube station, hosting a range of art installations and events.
Social and Economic Impact Report
The Earls Court Development Company’s first annual Social and Economic Impact Report has revealed that investment from ECDC has amounted to £7.8m worth of social value created to communities in the Royal Boroughs of Kensington & Chelsea and Hammersmith & Fulham.
The Community Hub
In June 2022 ECDC opened a new Community Hub on Aisgill Avenue, in the Gibbs Green Estate, West Kensington.
Young City Makers
We’re working in partnership with Young City Makers on a programme which introduces primary school students in Years 4, 5 and 6 to the built environment sector, and challenges them to consider the role they each play in shaping their city.
Open City Accelerate Programme
We’re working in partnership with Open City on the Accelerate programme that is designed and mentored by Open City. The programme supports young people aged 16-18 from under-represented backgrounds to pursue careers in the built environment industries.
Earls Court Future Programme
The Earls Court Future programme has been developed to inspire and equip young people in the London Boroughs of Kensington & Chelsea and Hammersmith & Fulham with the key work-ready skills, knowledge and access to opportunities to help them achieve their full potential.

Earls Court Community Fund
The Fund aims to support the local community in and around the Earls Court site, in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea and the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham.
