Planned Works

The Earls Court Development Company is overseeing a series of works predominately associated with the ongoing maintenance/repair of structures, improvements, and general caretaking around the development site. We carefully monitor and schedule these works and will update our neighbours living adjacent to the work site.  

We are in regular contact with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and review each work stream in advance of operations beginning on site, including checking that suitable mitigation measures have been agreed regarding dust and noise levels.

In line with best practise, we will do our utmost to ensure all normal working activities are undertaken within the permitted hours of operation to the relevant local council (either Kensington and Chelsea or Hammersmith and Fulham), which have been outlined below.

Monday to Friday: 8am – 6pm

Saturday: 8am -1pm (Hammersmith and Fulham only)

However, there may be occasions where we need to work outside of these normal working hours, for example if track-side works are necessary, in emergency situations or by exception. In these situations, we will be required to apply for a dispensation that must be approved by the relevant Council(s).

Further details on upcoming works will be included on this page, and advanced notice will be given to our neighbours of any potential extended or out of hours work. 

We are very conscious of disturbances that these series of works may cause to our neighbours and will therefore continue to do our utmost to ensure the appropriate mitigation measures are in place, to minimise disruptions. To this end, noise, dust and vibration monitoring equipment continues to be deployed at the Earls Court site perimeter to measure, report and help ensure that levels are not exceeded.

Being a good neighbour

The Earls Court Development Company and our contractors will ensure all works taking place around the development site are conducted safely and are commensurate with best industry practices and the code of conduct outlined by the Considerate Contractors Scheme (CCS).  

To this end, we have created the following construction guidelines:

• Giving advanced notice to residents and our neighbours of any work that will take place outside of working hours, or works that may be seen as disruptive
• Maintaining a regular dialogue with our neighbours as works progress, with a view to minimising any potential disruptions or disturbances
• Ensuring a member of the project team is available to answer any questions you might have about specific construction works or the Earls Court project more generally
• Continuing to adhere to best industry practices, to ensure works are carried out to a high standard, in a safe and secure manner
